Portfolio Foundation Blog Update #3
This week my group and I came together to decide the plot/storyline of our film. After debating between multiple setting ideas such as a creepy church, a dark forest, an empty street, and a parking garage, we decided the best option for us would be the parking garage. Along with the setting, we also figured out the characters we wanted to use. We want the main antagonist to be a killer clown and the victims to be stereotypical dumb bubbly girls. We began to discuss props and costuming for each of the characters. For the clown, we found a prop knife and prop mask. We also decided that each of the girls would be dressed preppily and be coming back from a shopping trip. Now that we had this idea, we began thinking about different shots we could incorporate into the opening. Our brainstorming process was very beneficial and I found we all work very well bouncing ideas off of each other.
Our next step would be putting together a script and storyboard. In my opinion, this will be the most challenging part because this is the key factor to make our ideas come alive on screen. We will also probably work on scouting out a location where we can film it without any disruptions or cause any disturbances. So far, I'm very excited with our progress and where we are headed!
